Mia was a singleton [no littermates] COVID puppy so had some behavior issues. We sent her to ‘reform school’ [a behaviorist/trainer] for 8 weeks when she was about 18 months old. She came back much improved, although she sometime forgets a little when she gets too excited. She is smart, sweet, and very well trained. She has one obedience and two rally titles; we are working toward her CD [Companion Dog]. She is on the smaller side [about 90 lbs] and has been spayed. Although she is a kennel dog she has spent time in the house with us – although never alone. Mia would do best in an experienced bullmastiff home without small children. If you are looking for an older bullmastiff, there are always dogs available through the Rescue Program of the American Bullmastiff Association. Further information on dogs currently being fostered can be found on the ABA website or by contacting ABARS Chair Virginia Rowland.
